A company’s balance sheet is a financial statement that provides a snapshot of the company ’s financial position.
A balance sheet shows what properties a corporation holds and what debts it owes at any given time.
Liabilities are listed on the right side of the balance sheet, and assets are listed on the left.
Assets must equal liabilities + equity in order for the balance sheet to balance.
