Shoonya charges ₹0 to open an account, ₹0 AMC for individuals and ₹0 brokerage on equity delivery. Intraday trades and futures are the lower of ₹5 or 0.03% per order, and options are a flat ₹5 plus GST per order. DP charges are ₹9 + GST per scrip, and pledge or unpledge requests cost ₹20 each.

“Lower of ₹5 or 0.03%” means 0.03% of the order value when that is below ₹5 and ₹5 for anything larger. GST is charged on top of brokerage. Brokerage on ETF intraday trades is the same lower of ₹5 or 0.03%.
Taxes and exchange charges on Shoonya trades
These are charged on top of brokerage by the government and the exchanges. They are the same at every broker, apart from small differences in how brokers round and bill them.

Shoonya charges: three worked examples
Each example adds up every charge on a round trip (buy and sell). The delivery and intraday examples buy and sell ₹1,00,000 of shares once each. The options example buys premium worth ₹50,000 and sells it for ₹60,000. Amounts are rounded to the nearest paisa and leave out tiny exchange investor-protection levies.

Two things stand out. Delivery brokerage is ₹0, so STT is the largest cost on a delivery trade. Intraday and options brokerage is capped at ₹5 per order, far below the ₹20 flat fee at most brokers, so statutory charges make up almost all of the cost. Profit or loss on the trade itself is not included, and neither is income tax on gains.
