Rates were checked against Angel One’s published charges in October 2026. Brokerage and statutory charges change, so confirm on Angel One before you trade. This is information, not investment advice.

Taxes and exchange charges on Angel One trades
These are charged on top of brokerage by the government and the exchanges. They are the same at any broker, apart from small differences in how the broker rounds and bills them.
| Charge | Equity delivery | Equity intraday | Futures | Options |

Angel One charges: three worked examples
Each example adds up every charge on a round trip (buy and sell). The delivery and intraday examples buy and sell ₹1,00,000 of shares once each. The options example buys premium worth ₹50,000 and sells it for ₹60,000. Amounts are rounded to the nearest paisa and leave out tiny exchange investor-protection levies.
| Charge | Delivery (₹1,00,000 buy and sell) | Intraday (₹1,00,000 buy and sell) | Options (₹50,000 buy, ₹60,000 sell) |
|---|---|---|---|
| Brokerage | ₹40.00 | ₹40.00 | ₹40.00 |
| STT | ₹200.00 | ₹25.00 | ₹90.00 |
| Exchange transaction charges | ₹6.14 | ₹6.14 | ₹39.08 |
| SEBI turnover fee | ₹0.20 | ₹0.20 | ₹0.11 |
| Stamp duty | ₹15.00 | ₹3.00 | ₹1.50 |
| GST | ₹8.34 | ₹8.34 | ₹14.25 |
| DP charge on the sell | ₹23.60 | ₹0.00 | ₹0.00 |
| Total charges | ₹293.28 | ₹82.68 | ₹184.95 |
| Total as % of turnover | 0.293% | 0.083% | 0.168% |
Two things stand out. STT is the largest cost on a delivery trade, larger than Angel One’s own brokerage, and it is the same at every broker. On a small options trade the flat ₹20 per order is a big share of the total. Profit or loss on the trade itself is not included, and neither is income tax on gains.
