Angel One or Dhan: what to weigh
Angel One may suit you if:
- you want Angel One’s new-account offer of ₹0 brokerage up to ₹500 in the first 30 days
- you plan to use margin funding: Angel One lists 0% interest on borrowing up to ₹1 lakh for the first 30 days, then 14.99% a year
- you trade larger orders where the ₹20 cap applies, so the difference from Dhan is small
Dhan may suit you if:
- you mostly buy and hold shares, ETFs, IPOs or mutual funds, since delivery brokerage and AMC are both ₹0
- you place small intraday orders, where 0.03% is lower than 0.1%
- you want a lower DP charge on each sell
Both statements describe published charges, not a recommendation. Your own order sizes, how often you trade and how long you hold shares decide which costs more. Use the brokerage calculator to test your own numbers.
